SkillsFuture Credit

During the 2015 budget speech, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam announced that every Singaporean aged 25 and above will receive an initial $500 of SkillsFuture Credit, which will be topped up at regular intervals and not expire.

More information here.

This is practically free money given to you by the Singapore government. So this post is to remind everyone to use it!

So why am I posting this on my Atas Coffee blog? The reason is that there are coffee appreciation courses that can be claimed under the Skillsfuture Credit! Just do a simple search here and you can find them.

Even though I am in the mobile coffee business, I have not actually done any formal training. All my barista skills are self taught from reading coffee forums and watching tons of youtube videos. So I am going to take this opportunity to sign up for a few courses. 🙂

There are  many more courses to choose from besides coffee related ones. So pick a few that you are interested in and just go sign up. Its free anyway.

Hope this help!
